Regular Season Round 12: Shimane SM - Toyota Alvark 61-86

Very expected game when 5th ranked Shimane Magic (4-9) was crushed at home by first ranked Toyota Alvark (12-1) 86-61 on Saturday. Toyota Alvark looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Americans were the main players on the court also this time. Worth to mention a great performance of center Alex Kirk (211-91, college: N.Mexico, agency: Pensack Sports) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds and forward Landen Lucas (208-93, college: Kansas, agency: Duran International) who added 10 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Toyota Alvark players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was forward Josh Scott (208-93, college: Colorado, agency: Pensack Sports) with 16 points and 8 rebounds and center Garrett Stutz (214-90, college: Wichita St.) scored 14 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Toyota Alvark have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 12-1 record, which they share with SeaHorses. Shimane Magic lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the fourth place with nine games lost. Toyota Alvark will face league's second-placed Chiba Jets on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Shimane Magic will play against Shiga L-Stars and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
