Regular Season Round 6: Saitama Bron. - Tokyo Big Blue 95-72

There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Tokyo Big Blue (0-2) was crushed on the road by top-ranked Saitama Broncos (2-0) 95-72 on Saturday. Saitama Broncos dominated down low during the game scoring 46 of its points in the paint compared to Tokyo Big Blue's 26. The best player for the winners was Senegalese forward Ibrahima Thomas (213-87, college: Cincinnati) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Nishi Yutaro (176-92) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Bryan Simpson (197-84) who recorded 15 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Yoshikawa Osamuakira (182-92) added 16 points respectively. Four Tokyo Big Blue players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Saitama Broncos keep a position of league leader, which they share with Tokyo HT. Loser Tokyo Big Blue still closes the standings with two games lost. Saitama Broncos will face bottom-ranked Toyoda Gosei (#9) in Aichi in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tokyo Big Blue's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo HT.
