Undefeated Vicenza (5-1) recorded its first loss on the court of fourth ranked Costa Masnaga. Visitors were defeated by Costa Masnaga 74-61. It was a key game for the second position in A2. Costa Masnaga forced 23 Vicenza turnovers. Power forward Giulia Rulli (184-91, agency: SPORTlab Agency) notched 16 points and 8 rebounds to lead the effort and American center Camille Mahlknecht (190-93, college: CS Northridge) supported her with 7 points and 11 rebounds. Even 18 points and 8 rebounds by Bosnian Melisa Brcaninovic (190-99, agency: BeoBasket) did not help to save the game for Vicenza. Forward Lucia Ferri (182-85) added 8 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Costa Masnaga moved-up to second place in A2. Costa Masnaga will play against Marghera (#12) in Venezia in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Vicenza will play at home against Bolzano (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
