Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Roma SRB (3-3) defeated at home 13th ranked Alghero (1-5) 85-68 on Saturday. Roma SRB forced 19 Alghero turnovers and had a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Naturalized Israeli point guard Giulia Prosperi (180-97) scored 23 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and forward Michela Marchetti (176-96) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Roma SRB's coach Amedeo D'Antoni used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. The best for the losing side was Arianna Beretta (178-96, agency: SPORTlab Agency) with 22 points and forward Diarra Sow (180-99) scored 12 points and 9 rebounds. Five Roma SRB and four Alghero players scored in double figures. Roma SRB moved-up to sixth place in A2. Loser Alghero dropped to the fifteenth position with five games lost. Roma SRB will face Campobasso (#10) on the road in the next round. Alghero will play against the league's second-placed Empoli (#2) and hope to win that game.
