Regular Season Round 5: Sagesse - Louaize 85-71

Bottom-ranked Louaize is still unable to win any game. This time they lost on the road their fourth consecutive match to fifth ranked Sagesse (3-2) 85-71 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 14 points at the halftime before their 51-23 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Sagesse dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to Louaize's 36. The former international Jasmon Youngblood (195-84, college: Kent St.) nailed 26 points and 5 assists for the winning side and international center Ater Majok (208-87, college: Connecticut) accounted for 17 points, 14 rebounds and 4 blocks. Four Sagesse players scored in double figures. American forward Travis Franklin (200-88, college: Colorado St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 11 rebounds (was perfect 10-for-10 from the free throw line !!!) and point guard Hassan Dandach (187-91) added 18 points and 5 rebounds respectively for Louaize in the defeat. Louaize's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sagesse maintains fifth place with 3-2 record. Louaize lost their fourth game in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. Sagesse will meet Byblos (#7) on the road in the next round. Louaize will play against Homenetmen in Beirut and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
