Regular Season Round 6: Den Bosch - Rotterdam 74-68

Rather expected game when 7th ranked Rotterdam (1-4) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Den Bosch (4-1) 74-68 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Rotterdam won third quarter 23-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Den Bosch looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Stefan Wessels (203-84) who scored 18 points and 6 rebounds. The former international center Nick Oudendag (210-87) chipped in a double-double by scoring 11 points and 11 rebounds. Oudendag is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. At the other side the best for losing team was Belgian point guard Ordane Kanda-Kanyinda (186-96) who recorded 23 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Chris Commons (206-84, college: USC Aiken) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Den Bosch moved-up to third place, which they share with Groningen. Loser Rotterdam keeps the seventh position with four games lost. Den Bosch will meet league's leader Leiden on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Rotterdam will play against Weert (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
