Regular Season Round 8: Cholet - Limoges 86-89

A very interesting game took place in Cholet. It ended with only three-point home defeat of 15th ranked Cholet Basket (2-6) to eleventh ranked Limoges CSP Elite (4-4) 89-86 on Saturday evening. The guests were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Limoges CSP Elite shot the lights out from three nailing 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. American point guard Kenny Hayes (186-87, college: Miami, OH, agency: BeoBasket) orchestrated the victory by scoring 17 points. American-Cameroonian point guard Danny Gibson (178-84, college: S.Indiana) contributed with 12 points and 6 assists for the winners. The former international point guard Jonathan Rousselle (188-90) replied with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists and Icelandic Haukur Palsson (197-92, college: Maryland) added 19 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Cholet Basket. Five Cholet Basket players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Limoges CSP Elite moved-up to ninth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Cholet Basket at the other side keeps the fifteenth position with six games lost. Limoges CSP Elite's next round opponent will be Boulazac Basket (#17) on the road and are hoping to win another game. Cholet Basket will play against Chalon/Saor and hope to win that game.
