There was no surprise when 8th ranked Quimper UJAP (2-2) was crushed at home by top-ranked Lille Metropole (4-0) 93-66 on Saturday. The game without a history. Lille Metropole led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. Lille Metropole outrebounded Quimper UJAP 33-20 including 23 on the defensive glass. The game was dominated by American players. Forward Rakeem Buckles (203-90, college: FIU) fired a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Point guard Maurice Acker (176-87, college: Marquette) chipped in 22 points and 4 assists. Four Lille Metropole players scored in double figures. Forward James Ellisor (195-90, college: Bemidji St.) produced 16 points and 5 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and center Demarco Cox (203-90, college: Georgia Tech) added 11 points and 10 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lille Metropole have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Roanne. Loser Quimper UJAP dropped to the seventh place with two games lost. Lille Metropole will face ADA Blois (#5) at home in the next round. Quimper UJAP will play against Entente Orleans 45 and hope to win that game.
