Regular Season Round 8: Saint-Quentin - Brissac Anjou 85-70
Date: November 4, 2017
Very predictable result when fifth ranked Saint-Quentin (6-2) defeated at home 15th ranked Brissac-Aubance (2-6) 85-70 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian-British power forward Maurice Walker (208-91, college: Minnesota) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds and American swingman Daviin Davis (193-85, college: Weber St.) who added 14 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Saint-Quentin players scored in double figures. Saint-Quentin's coach Jerome Navier allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. American-Nigerian forward Zimmy Nwogbo (201-91, college: Cedarville, agency: Duran International) responded with 25 points and 5 rebounds and naturalized Mali swingman Sourata Cisse (196-86) scored 21 points. Saint-Quentin moved-up to third place, which they share with Chartres. Brissac-Aubance lost sixth consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the fifteenth position with six games lost. Saint-Quentin will face Vendee Challans (#7) on the road in the next round. Brissac-Aubance will play against ALS Basket (#8) and hope to win that game.
