No shocking result in a game when leader Omegna (7-0) outleveled at home 14th ranked Moncalieri (1-6) 81-43 on Saturday. Omegna made 21-of-27 free shots (77.8 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Moncalieri turnovers and outrebounded them 45-29 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Omegna looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Moncalieri's players. It was a great evening for point guard Francesco Villa (182-97, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 18 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. Francesco Fratto (199-91) helped adding 12 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. Four Omegna players scored in double figures. At the losing side swingman Filippo Creati (194-98) responded with 6 points and 6 rebounds and power forward Fabio Delvecchio (194-94) scored 9 points and 4 steals. Moncalieri's coach Marco Spanu gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Omegna maintains first place in B with 7-0 record, which they share with Cento. Loser Moncalieri keeps the fourteenth position with six games lost. Omegna will face Montecatiniterme (#5) on the road in the next round. Moncalieri will play against San Miniato (#7) and hope to win that game.
