Regular Season Round 8: Rahoveci - Borea 91-83

There was no surprise when 6th ranked Borea (2-6) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Rahoveci (5-2) 91-83 on Saturday. Rahoveci made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Valon Bunjaku (198-98) who helped to win the game recording 23 points and 5 assists and American power forward Kyle Sovine (206-94, college: St.Francis, IN) who added 10 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Rahoveci's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Slovenian swingman Ardit Beqiri (193-95) responded with 26 points and forward Blendi Matoshi (196-94) scored 18 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rahoveci moved-up to second place, which they share with Ylli. Newly promoted Borea keeps the sixth position with six games lost. They share it with Kerasan. Rahoveci will meet at home Xhebrailat (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Borea will play against Bashkimi and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
