Bottom-ranked Heffingen managed to get a second victory, breaking the five-game losing streak. This time newly promoted Heffingen won against sixth-ranked Racing 84-76. 25 personal fouls committed by Racing helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American swingman Jovonni Shuler (195-87, college: Savannah St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds. Point guard Joel Thesen (185-88) contributed with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Shuler is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American swingman Scott Morton (195-87, college: Geneseo St.) replied with 26 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Sam Ney (193-87) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Racing. Heffingen (2-6) moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Residence and Contern. Racing lost fifth consecutive game. Racing at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. Heffingen's next round opponent will be Contern (#8) in Luxembourg.
