LFB top team - Perfumerias Avenida (6-1) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat ninth ranked Araski (3-4) in Salamanca 69-54. The game was mostly controlled by Perfumerias Avenida. Araski managed to win fourth quarter 17-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Araski 38-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. Brazilian center Erika De-Souza (197-82, agency: ProDep Management) fired a double-double by scoring 13 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. American-Ukrainian DAndra Moss (178-88, college: VCU, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 13 points. American power forward Julie Forster (185-91, college: Albany) produced a double-double by scoring 15 points and 8 rebounds and Venezuelan point guard Roselis Silva (166-91, college: Arkansas Tech) added 16 points and 4 steals respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion maintains first place with 6-1 record, which they share with Gipuzkoa UPV. Araski lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth position with four games lost. They share it with AE Sedis. Perfumerias Avenida will meet Zamarat (#12) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Araski will play against Gernika and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
