The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Piestanske C. (4-1) in Kosice on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by Good Angels (8-0) 64-50. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Piestanske C.. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international center Anna Jurcenkova (195-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds. American forward Devereaux Peters (187-89, college: Notre Dame) contributed with 12 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Four Good Angels players scored in double figures. The former international Terezia Palenikova (178-95) answered with 15 points and Croatian center Emilija Podrug (190-79) added 7 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Piestanske C.Good Angels have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-0 record. Piestanske C. at the other side dropped to the third position with one game lost. Good Angels are looking forward to face UKF Nitra (#5) on the road in the next round. Piestanske C. will play against Slovan in Bratislava and is hoping to prove to their supporters that the loss was just an accident.
