Regular Season Round 7: Kangoeroes - Aalstar 70-85

An interesting game for Okapi Aalstar (6-1) which played road game in Willebroek against 4th placed Kangoeroes (3-3). Second ranked Okapi Aalstar had an easy win 85-70. It was a great evening for Samoan-American power forward John Tofi (203-84, college: UTEP, agency: Pensack Sports) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 8 rebounds. American point guard Wesley Channels (190-88, college: Austin Peay St.) helped adding 12 points and 9 assists. Okapi Aalstar's coach Jean-Marc Jaumin allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American point guard Kenyon McNeaill (185-91, college: Louisiana Tech) responded with 13 points and 8 assists and American-Jamaican guard TJ Sapp (190-92, college: Murray St., agency: Duran International) scored 12 points. Four Okapi Aalstar and five Kangoeroes players scored in double figures. Okapi Aalstar have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 6-1 record behind leader Oostende. Kangoeroes at the other side dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. They share it with Spirou. Okapi Aalstar will play against league's leader Oostende at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Kangoeroes will play against Antwerp Giants (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
