Regular Season Round 6: Montbrison - Reze 56-55

A very interesting game took place in Montbrison. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 12th ranked Reze (1-5) to fourth ranked Montbrison (4-2) 56-55 on Saturday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. American power forward Patricia Bright (193-91, college: Oregon St., agency: LBM Management) notched 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks to lead the effort and Anais Foisse (183-96) supported her with 10 points and 7 rebounds. Even 15 points and 5 rebounds by the former international power forward Jennifer Digbeu (190-87) did not help to save the game for Reze. Ivorian forward Kany Kouyate (178-90) added 14 points and 6 rebounds. Montbrison have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Reze lost fifth consecutive game. Newly promoted team stay at the bottom position with five games lost. Montbrison's next round opponent will be Toulouse (#5) on the road. Reze will play against Bretagne Basket (#3) in Pleyber-Christ and hope to win that game.
