Regular Season Round 8: GET Vosges - La Charite 84-76

An interesting game took place in Golbey where higher ranked La Charite (5-3) was upset on the court of sixteenth ranked GET Vosges (3-5) 84-76 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of La Charite. Worth to mention a great performance of Malcolm Gountas (189-94) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists and Senegalese power forward Madiop Ndiaye (208-95) who added 12 points and 11 rebounds during the contest. Five GET Vosges players scored in double figures. American point guard Austen Rowland (186-81, college: Lehigh, agency: Inception Sports) responded with 19 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals and Vincent Fandelet (197-92) scored 12 points. GET Vosges moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted La Charite dropped to the fifth position with three games lost. GET Vosges will face SO Maritime Boulogne (#12) in Boulogne-sur-Mer in the next round. La Charite will play at home against Lourdes-Tarbes (#14) and hope to win that game.
