Regular Season Round 7: Crema - Cento 54-74

The game between closely ranked teams ended with leader Cento's (7-0) road victory over their biggest opponent Crema (5-2) 74-54 on Sunday. They outrebounded Crema 39-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for center Giorgio Piunti (205-90) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points, 15 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Naturalized Argentinian guard Sebastian Vico (190-86, agency: Players Group) helped adding 24 points and 4 assists. Four Cento players scored in double figures. Cento's coach Giovanni Benedetto used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side guard Andrea Dagnello (189-91) responded with 19 points and guard Michele Peroni (190-94) scored 12 points. Cento have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place in B with 7-0 record. Loser Crema dropped to the third position with two games lost. Cento will face Forli Tigers (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Crema will play against the league's second-placed Piacenza (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
