Regular Season Round 7: Sant Adria - Zamarat 83-60

Very expected game when 12th ranked Zamarat (1-6) was crushed on the road by eighth ranked Sant Adria (4-3) 83-60 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Sant Adria. Zamarat was better in third quarter 16-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Sant Adria shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 56.5 percentage. It was a great evening for forward Mireia Vila (183-91, college: St.Joseph's) who led her team to a victory scoring 25 points. International Belen Arrojo (188-95) helped adding 14 points and 5 rebounds. Sant Adria's coach Fabian Tellez felt very confident using 11 players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side American forward Alisia Jenkins (186-94, college: S.Florida) responded with 9 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import guard Brianna Butler (180-94, college: Syracuse, agency: LBM Management) scored 13 points. Sant Adria moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Al-Qazeres and Gernika. Zamarat lost third consecutive game. They keep the twelfth position with six games lost. Sant Adria will face higher ranked Mann Filter (#5) in Zaragoza in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Zamarat will play at home against the league's leader Perfumerias Avenida (#1) and hope to win that game.
