Regular Season Round 12: Tochigi Brex - Chiba Jets 77-72

Very important is a road loss of second ranked Chiba Jets (9-4) against sixth ranked Tochigi Brex (4-9) on Sunday night. Visiting Chiba Jets were defeated by Tochigi Brex in a tough game in Tochigi 72-77. Tochigi Brex made 19-of-25 free shots (76.0 percent) during the game. Tochigi Brex outrebounded Chiba Jets 36-25 including 23 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Kosuke Takeuchi (206-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 10 points and 17 rebounds and American guard Cedric Bozeman (198-83, college: UCLA) who added 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was American power forward Gavin Edwards (206-88, college: Connecticut) with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 10 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 10 rebounds. Five Tochigi Brex and four Chiba Jets players scored in double figures. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Chiba Jets at the other side keep the second position with four games lost. Tochigi Brex will face higher ranked Toshiba Thunders (#3) in Kanagawa in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Chiba Jets will play at home against the league's leader Toyota Alvark and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
