Regular Season Round 6: Zwolle - Amsterdam 97-72

Second ranked Zwolle (5-1) crushed at home 5th ranked Amsterdam (3-2) by 25 points 97-72, which is the biggest margin this round on Sunday night. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Amsterdam. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. They outrebounded Amsterdam 41-26 including 29 on the defensive glass. Zwolle looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by Amsterdam's players. The best player for the winners was American forward Noah Dahlman (201-89, college: Wofford) who scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. International forward Olaf Schaftenaar (208-93, college: Oregon St.) chipped in 19 points. Four Zwolle players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international swingman Dimeo Van-Der-Horst (197-91) who recorded 17 points and 5 assists and Max Van-Schaik (210-91, agency: Court Side) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Amsterdam's coach Patrick Faydherbe gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Zwolle maintains second position with 5-1 record having just one point less than leader Leiden. Amsterdam at the other side keeps the fifth place with two games lost. Zwolle will meet Groningen (#4) on the road in the next round. Amsterdam will play against Leeuwarden and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
