Regular Season Round 6: Bisons Loimaa - JyWe 90-80

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Loimaan Korikonkarit as it allowed them to take a leadership position in Division. Loimaan Korikonkarit defeated 5th ranked JyWe at home 90-80. The hosts trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 34-23 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Loimaan Korikonkarit dominated down low during the game scoring 58 of its points in the paint compared to JyWe's 38. It was a good game for American forward Josh Caldwell (203, college: William Penn) who led his team to a victory with 40 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Tommi Rasi (184-98) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Caldwell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Guard Aleksi Kantonen (188-95) replied with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Lauri Salovaara (190-94) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for JyWe. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. As mentioned above they are alone now at the top position. JyWe at the other side keeps the fifth place with three games lost. JyWe will play next round against Aanekosken Huima trying to get back on the winning streak. Loimaan Korikonkarit will try to continue on its current victory against tenth ranked Raholan Pyrkiva in Tampere.
