Regular Season Round 10: Aishin AW - JX-Eneos S. 63-86

WJBL top team - JX-Eneos S. (10-0) had no problems winning another game on Sunday. This time they crushed ninth ranked Aishin Wings (3-7) in Anjo 86-63. The game was mostly controlled by JX-Eneos S.. Aishin Wings managed to win fourth quarter 23-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. JX-Eneos S. made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. JX-Eneos S. outrebounded Aishin Wings 47-31 including 19 on the offensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when JX-Eneos S. made 7 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international power forward Ramu Tokashiki (191-91) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 assists. The former international forward Yuka Osaki-Mamiya (185-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Five JX-Eneos S. players scored in double figures. Haruki Takahara (173-99) replied with 17 points and 7 rebounds and Kiho Miyashita (178-98) added 14 points in the effort for Aishin Wings. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. JX-Eneos S. have an impressive ten-game winning streak. Defending champion maintains first position with 10-0 record. Aishin Wings lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with seven games lost. JX-Eneos S. are looking forward to face league's second-placed Mitsubishi K. in Nagoya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Aishin Wings will play at home against Toyota B SR (#6) and are hoping to prove to their fans that they can break losing series.
