Regular Season Round 6: Montegrano - Unieuro Forli 77-62

Everything went according to plan when fourth ranked Montegrano (5-1) defeated 7th ranked Unieuro Forli (3-3) in Montenegrano 77-62 on Sunday. It was a good game for American Marshawn Powell (201-90, college: Arkansas, agency: HMS) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds. The former international power forward Valerio Amoroso (204-80, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Five Montegrano players scored in double figures. Israeli point guard Yuval Naimy (188-85) replied with 11 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists and swingman Giovanni Severini (197-93) added 7 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Unieuro Forli. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Montegrano moved-up to third place in A2. Loser Unieuro Forli dropped to the ninth position with three games lost. Montegrano will face Aurira Jesi (#4) on the road in the next round. Unieuro Forli will play against Orasi Ravenna (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
