Regular Season Round 9: Centrum - Nidaros Jets 78-84

Rather expected game in Oslo where bottom-ranked Centrum (0-9) was defeated by eighth ranked Nidaros Jets (4-6) 84-78 on Sunday. Centrum trailed by 19 points after 3 quarters before a 25-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 78-84 at the end of the game. American center Evan Harris (206-86, college: Harvard) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds for the winners and Australian guard Joel Spear (192-94, college: S.Oregon) chipped in 10 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. The best for the losing side was guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) with a double-double by scoring 32 points and 10 rebounds and guard Johan Flaa (183-99) scored 12 points and 6 rebounds. Centrum's coach Inge-Aleksander Kristiansen rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Nidaros Jets maintains eighth place with 4-6 record, which they share with Baerum Basket. Defending champion Centrum still closes the standings with nine games lost. Nidaros Jets will face higher ranked Ammerud Bskt (#5) in Oslo in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Centrum will play at home against Tromso (#4) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
