There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Rimini (3-4) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Reggio Emilia (2-5) 63-53 on Sunday. It was a great evening for power forward Massimo Farioli (204-77, agency: Octagon Europe) who led his team to a victory scoring 11 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Federico Pugi (206-85) helped adding 7 points and 5 rebounds. At the losing side center Edoardo Tiberti (205-97) responded with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and guard Paolo Busetto (192-96) scored 8 points and 6 assists. Rimini's coach Andrea Maghelli rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Reggio Emilia maintains thirteenth place in B with 2-5 record. Loser Rimini dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Reggio Emilia will face higher ranked Lecco (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
