Regular Season Round 5: Maccabi Rishon - Maccabi T-A 86-90

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Rishon Le-Zion. Leader Maccabi T-A faced 3rd placed Maccabi Rishon. Guests from Tel-Aviv (5-0) defeated host Maccabi Rishon (3-2) 90-86. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Maccabi Rishon. The guests were already 15 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 35-24 Maccabi Rishon's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 90-86 at the end of the game. They outrebounded Maccabi Rishon 37-23 including 24 on the defensive glass. Maccabi Rishon was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American DeShaun Thomas (201-91, college: Ohio St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 18 points and 5 rebounds.
