Regular Season Round 9: Prievidza - Karlovka 70-59

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Karlovka (3-6) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Prievidza (5-4) 70-59. They made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. It was a good game for Jamaican-British forward Ryan Martin (206-91, college: Tenn Tech) who led his team to a victory with 17 points and 6 rebounds. American-Liberian point guard Jaytornah Wisseh (185-88, college: LIU Brooklyn) contributed with 6 points and 9 assists for the winners. The former international forward Andrej Kuffa (203-90) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds and the former international Roman Vido (204-88) added 17 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Karlovka. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Prievidza moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Kosice. Karlovka at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. They share it with Handlova. Prievidza will play against league's leader Inter Bratislava on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Karlovka will play against Zilina (#10) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
