Regular Season Round 7: Recanati - Giulianova 60-67

Round 7 games were marked by very close results. The first upset was a home defeat of 4th placed Recanati (4-3) to second ranked Giulianova (5-2) 67-60. It was a key game for the second position in B. 26 personal fouls committed by Recanati helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a great evening for Nicola Bastone (196-92) who led his team to a victory scoring 15 points and 6 rebounds. Point guard Antonello Ricci (190-92, agency: Octagon Europe) helped adding 15 points and 4 assists. At the losing side point guard Francesco Guarino (182-79, agency: Octagon Europe) responded with 19 points, 5 assists and 6 steals and guard Giacomo Gurini (192-84) scored 17 points and 4 steals. Giulianova maintains second place in B with 5-2 record having just two points less than leader Cento, which they share with Crema and Lecco. Recanati at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with 4 other teams. Giulianova is looking forward to face league's leader San Severo at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Recanati will play against Porto S.Elpidio (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
