Regular Season Round 6: Lattes Montp. - Hainaut 74-77

Important game to mention about took place in Montpellier. Seventh ranked Hainaut (3-3) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging one of their biggest challengers Lattes Montpellier (3-2) 77-74 on Sunday evening. American forward Ashley Bruner (183-91, college: S.Carolina, agency: Two Points) notched 19 points and 6 rebounds to lead the effort and Senegalese point guard Bintou Dieme-Marizy (164-84) supported her with 20 points and 4 assists (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Four Hainaut players scored in double figures. Even 13 points and 5 assists by international point guard Romane Bernies (170-93) did not help to save the game for Lattes Montpellier. Polish center Ewelina Kobryn (193-82) added 12 points and 7 rebounds. Hainaut moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Nantes. Lattes Montpellier at the other side dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Hainaut will play against league's leader Bourges at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Lattes Montpellier will play against Roche (#12) in La Roche and hopes to get back on the winning track.
