Regular Season Round 4: Panionios - Proteas 79-62

No shocking result in a game when top-ranked Panionios (4-0) beat 6th ranked Proteas (1-3) in Athens 79-62. The game without a history. Panionios led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. American forward Katie Healy (185-94, college: St.Bonaventure) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. The former international guard Aikaterini Spatharou (172-83) chipped in 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Panionios players scored in double figures. American swingman Alexis Govan (178-93, college: W.Kentucky) produced 20 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and point guard Evgenia Kollatou (172-98) added 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Panionios have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Olympiacos and Faros Keratsiniou. Proteas at the other side dropped to the seventh place with three games lost. Panionios' next round opponent will be Panathlitikos (#7) in Thessaloniki where they are favorite. Proteas will play at home against Athinaikos and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
