The game between second ranked Sint Kateline Waver (7-2) and fifth ranked Declercq Stortbeton (6-3) was the most important one in the last round on Sunday night. Sint Kateline Waver was defeated by Declercq Stortbeton in Sint Katelijne 69-56. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Sint Kateline Waver. Declercq Stortbeton dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Sint Kateline Waver's 22. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Miete Celus (173-91) who scored 21 points and 9 rebounds. The former international point guard Sien Devliegher (177-93) chipped in 16 points and 9 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was power forward Laure Resimont (185-98) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and center Becky Massey (186-0) added 15 points and 13 rebounds respectively. Sint Kateline Waver's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Declercq Stortbeton moved-up to fourth place. Sint Kateline Waver at the other side keeps the second position with two games lost. They share it with Kangoeroes. Declercq Stortbeton are looking forward to face R.Spirou Monceau (#7) in Charleroi in the next round. Sint Kateline Waver will play on the road against Verviers-Pep. (#12) and is hoping to win this game.
