Regular Season Round 6: Landes - Nantes 68-65

A very close game took place in Mont de Marsan between Basket Landes and Nantes Reze. Fifth ranked Basket Landes (4-2) got a very close home victory over 6th ranked Nantes Reze (3-3). Basket Landes managed to escape with a 3-point win 68-65 on Sunday evening. Basket Landes looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. The best player for the winners was Spanish swingman Queralt Casas (177-92) who scored 13 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. International Celine Dumerc (169-82) chipped in 7 points and 9 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Canadian power forward Nayo Raincock-Ekunwe (188-91, college: Simon Fraser) who recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and 15 rebounds and forward Katia Clanet (187-96) added 14 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Basket Landes moved-up to fourth place. Loser Nantes Reze keeps the sixth position with three games lost. They share it with Hainaut. Basket Landes will meet Tarbes (#11) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Nantes Reze will play against the league's second-placed Flammes (#2) and hope to secure a win.
