Regular Season Round 7: BAM Poprad - Good Angels 44-66

An interesting game for Good Angels (8-0) which played road game in Poprad against 4th placed BAM Poprad (3-4). Leader Good Angels had an easy win 66-44. Good Angels held BAM Poprad to an opponent 25.0 percent shooting from the field compared to 44.1 percent accuracy of the winners. It was a great evening for Lithuanian center Daugile Sarauskaite (196-96) who led her team to a victory scoring 17 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!). American forward Devereaux Peters (187-89, college: Notre Dame) helped adding 16 points. At the losing side Dominika Drobna (183-98) responded with 13 points and Zuzana Ivancakova (178-93) scored 7 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for Good Angels. Defending champion maintains first place with 8-0 record. BAM Poprad at the other side keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Good Angels will play against UKF Nitra (#5) on the road in the next round. BAM Poprad will play against the league's second-placed MBK Ruzomberok and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
