Maccabi K/M has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive losses. They used home court advantage to defeat Hapoel Afula (0-4) 67-64 on Tuesday. American power forward Justin Jackson (204-90, college: Cincinnati) fired a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. The other American import swingman Folarin Campbell (189-86, college: George Mason) chipped in 18 points. Four Maccabi K/M players scored in double figures. American forward Wayne Langston (201-93, college: Murray St.) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Ron Sabag (182-90, agency: Dray Basketball Agency) added 12 points and 6 assists respectively for lost side. Maccabi K/M (1-3) left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with Hapoel Migd.H. and Maccabi Raanana. It was Hapoel Afula's fourth loss in a row. They still close the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Hapoel K/S. Maccabi K/M will meet higher ranked Maccabi K/G (#4) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Hapoel Afula will play against Elitzur Yavne (#7) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
