The most surprising game was the first loss of Homenetmen (5-1) in Beirut on Tuesday night. Hosts were edged by ninth ranked Louaize (1-5) 92-91. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Homenetmen. The guests trailed by 15 points at the halftime before their 32-13 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. American Marvelle Harris (193-93, college: Fresno St., agency: Slash Sports) scored 31 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import forward Travis Franklin (200-88, college: Colorado St.) chipped in 29 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. The best for the losing side was U.S. Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican point guard Walter Hodge (183-86, college: Florida) with 28 points and 5 assists and American swingman Sam Young (198-85, college: Pittsburgh) scored 24 points and 9 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Louaize left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with Byblos and CS Antonins. Homenetmen at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. They share it with Al Riyadi. Louaize is looking forward to face Byblos (#7) at home in the next round. Homenetmen will play against the league's leader Champville (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
