Regular Season Round 7: Cambados - Navarra 99-89

There was a minor upset when higher ranked Navarra (3-4) was defeated on the road by twelfth ranked Cambados (3-4) 99-89 on Wednesday. The game without a history. Cambados led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They made 17-of-22 free shots (77.3 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for Norwegian forward Karamo Jawara (203-91, college: N.C.Central) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. British forward Will Saunders (201-91, college: Charleston So.) helped adding 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Cambados players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Inaki Narros (196-81) responded with 31 points and American guard Kris Davis (188-93, college: SIU Edwardsville) scored 18 points. Navarra's coach David Mangas tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Cambados moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Navarra and Plasencia. Cambados will face Fundacion 5+11 (#14) in Baskonia in the next round.
