Regular Season Round 5: Jiangsu D. - Liaoning FL 80-112

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Jiangsu Dragons (4-1) in Nanjing on Wednesday night. Hosts were rolled over by fifth ranked Flying Leopards (4-1) 112-80. Flying Leopards outrebounded Jiangsu Dragons 45-26 including a 33-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. American Lester Hudson (190-84, college: Tenn-Martin) orchestrated the victory by scoring 26 points and 5 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Brandon Bass (203-85, college: LSU) contributed with 19 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Flying Leopards players scored in double figures. Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) answered with 17 points and 9 rebounds and forward Yifan Hou (196-92) added 15 points and 4 assists in the effort for Jiangsu Dragons. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Flying Leopards moved-up to third place, which they share with Shandong GS and Jiangsu D. Flying Leopards is looking forward to face Monkey Kings (#8) in Jiangsu in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Jiangsu Dragons will play on the road against Leopards (#13) in Shenzhen and are hoping to win this game.
