Regular Season Round 10: Iskra Svit - Levice 86-99

An interesting game for Levice (8-2) which played road game in Svit against one of their biggest challengers Iskra Svit (6-4). Second ranked Levice managed to get a 13-point victory 99-86. Levice outrebounded Iskra Svit 47-27 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of Slovenian guard Miha Vasl (192-92, agency: PEPI SPORT) who helped to win the game recording 19 points. American center Garrick Sims (203-91, college: Lake Erie, agency: SDJ Sports) contributed with 12 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Levice players scored in double figures. Levice's coach Teo Hojc used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Serbian point guard Sasa Avramovic (193-93, agency: BeoBasket) replied with 24 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Anthony Jackson (196-89, college: Florida Tech) added 19 points and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) in the effort for Iskra Svit. Levice maintains second position with 8-2 record behind leader Inter Bratislava. Iskra Svit at the other side keeps the third place with four games lost. They share the position with Kosice. Levice are looking forward to face Rieker KN (#6) in Komarno in the next round. Iskra Svit will play on the road against Prievidza and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
