Regular Season Round 11: Cangrejeros - Metropolitanos 83-82

The most exciting game of round 11 in the LNB took place in Maturin. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Metropolitanos (7-9) to second ranked Cangrejeros (10-6) 83-82 on Friday evening. Cangrejeros outrebounded Metropolitanos 39-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. The former international forward Axiers Sucre (199-78) saved the victory by scoring 13 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists. The former international forward Anthony Perez (206-93, college: Mississippi) contributed with 17 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international center Alejandro Barrios (204-79) answered with 20 points and 7 rebounds and the former international forward Lenin Lopez (198-91) added 8 points and 6 assists in the effort for Metropolitanos. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Cangrejeros have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain second place with 10-6 record having just one point less than leader Guaros 2. Newly promoted Metropolitanos keep the fifth position with nine games lost.
