Bottom-ranked Blue Whales (0-6) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to sixth ranked Xinjiang Flying Tige (4-2) 121-108. Xinjiang Flying Tige made 18-of-22 charity shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Xinjiang Flying Tige outrebounded Blue Whales 49-37 including a 22-11 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a good game for American-Bulgarian point guard Darius Adams (188-89, college: Indianapolis) who led his team to a victory with 44 points (!!!), 6 rebounds and 8 assists. The former international power forward TongLin Sun (208-92) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. American Jamaal Franklin (196-91, college: San Diego St., agency: Slash Sports) replied with 41 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 7 assists and Iranian center Hamed Haddadi (218-85) added 10 points and 11 rebounds in the effort for Blue Whales. Both teams had five players each who scored in double figures. Blue Whales' coach rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Defending champion moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 6 other teams. Blue Whales at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Xinjiang Flying Tige's next round opponent will be Sharks (#9) in Shanghai where they are favorite. Blue Whales will play at home against Bayi Rockets (#19) and look forward to get finally their first victory.
