Regular Season Round 13: Puerto Montt - AB Ancud 74-76

Sixth-ranked Puerto Montt (3-10) used its home court advantage to challenge third ranked AB Ancud (10-4) on Saturday. The visitors from Ancud managed to secure only two-point victory 76-74. However their fans expected easier game. AB Ancud made 17-of-17 free shots (100 percent !!!) during the game. The former international guard Sebastian Suarez (193-91, college: Portland St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winning side and Argentinian point guard Jonatan Machuca (182-89) accounted for 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Five AB Ancud players scored in double figures. Puerto Rican Alexander Galindo (200-85, college: FIU) came up with 31 points and American center James Williams (204-79, college: Brown Mackie) added 12 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Puerto Montt in the defeat. AB Ancud moved-up to second place, which they share with CD Valdivia. Puerto Montt lost their fourth game in a row. They dropped to the fifth position with ten games lost. They share it with Osorno. AB Ancud will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Puerto Montt will play again against AB Ancud (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
