Regular Season Round 7: Saitama Bron. - Toyoda Gosei 99-69

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both first ranked Saitama Broncos and 7th ranked Toyoda Gosei had identical 2-1 record. This time Saitama Broncos used a home court advantage and smashed the opponent from Aichi 99-69 on Saturday night. Saitama Broncos forced 23 Toyoda Gosei turnovers and outrebounded them 51-36 including a 20-9 advantage in offensive rebounds. Quite impressive performance for point guard Nishi Yutaro (176-92) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Ferrakohn Hall (203-90, college: Memphis) contributed with 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Point guard Ryoma Yanagiuchi (182-92) answered with 24 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and American forward Patrick Simon (203-92, college: Seattle Pacific) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Toyoda Gosei. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Saitama Broncos have a solid series of three victories in a row. Despite that victory Saitama Broncos went down to second position due to points difference. Loser Toyoda Gosei dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. Saitama Broncos will face Tokyo Cinq R. (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Toyoda Gosei will play against Kagoshima (#7) and hope to win that game.
