Regular Season Round 14: Toyotsu FE - Shinshu BW 69-62

B League D2 round 14 caused change at the leadership position. Sixth defeat of league's leader Shinshu BW (8-6) against fifth ranked Toyotsu FE (7-7) 69-62 was the most important game of the last round. Toyotsu FE outrebounded Shinshu BW 40-28 including 27 on the defensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American players dominated the game. Forward Josh Hawkinson (208-95, college: Washington St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Herbert Hill (208-84, college: Providence) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds for the winners. Anthony McHenry (202-83, college: Georgia Tech) replied with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and center Nick Washburn (208-91, college: Hillsdale, agency: Duran International) added 16 points in the effort for Shinshu BW. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Toyotsu FE maintains fifth position with 7-7 record. Shinshu BW lost third consecutive game. They still keep top place with six games lost. They share the position with Cyberdyne IR and Kanazawa Sam.. They were replaced at the leadership position by Kanazawa Sam.. Shinshu BW will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Toyotsu FE will try to continue on its current victory against third ranked Shinshu BW in Nagano.
