Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Tokyo: Tokyo Excel. (#3) and Tokyo Cinq R. (#8). Tokyo Excel. (2-0) won against visiting Tokyo Cinq R. (1-3) 75-69. American Justin Herold (203-91, college: Sonoma St.) fired a double-double by scoring 30 points and 22 rebounds for the winners. His fellow American import forward Jordan Faison (201-94, college: Cal Poly Pomona) chipped in 21 points and 6 rebounds. American guard Andre Murray (188-87, college: Portland St.) produced 21 points and 8 rebounds and point guard Yamaguchi Kenzu (182-94) added 18 points and 7 rebounds respectively for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Tokyo Excel. maintains third place with 2-0 record having 2 victories less than leader Tokyo HT. Tokyo Cinq R. at the other side dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. Tokyo Excel.'s supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tokyo to the arena Tokyo HT.
