Important game to mention about took place in Valga. Eighth ranked Betsafe (2-4) saved a 3-point victory on the road edging 5th ranked Valka/Valga (2-4) 80-77 in the game for the fifth place. Betsafe made 21-of-25 charity shots (84.0 percent) during the game. American power forward Kyle Benjamin (206-91, college: Bridgeport) notched a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds to lead the effort and forward Karlis Apsitis (199-92) supported him with 24 points and 4 assists (went 10 for 10 at the free throw line !!!). Even 22 points and 5 rebounds by power forward Roberts Freimanis (204-91, college: BS Liepaja) did not help to save the game for Valka/Valga. Estonian center Rain Raadik (208-89) added 16 points and 11 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Betsafe moved-up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Valka/Valga. Betsafe will play against Latvijas Universitate (#8) in Riga in the next round. Valka/Valga will have a break next round.
