Regular Season Round 10: Centrum - Tromso 89-62

Date: November 11, 2017
Centrum can celebrate finally their first win this season after nine consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as they outplayed much higher ranked Tromso (5-6) 89-62 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Centrum. Tromso managed to win third quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. Guard Magnus Midtvedt (182-90) had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Johan Flaa (183-99) chipped in 14 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Centrum players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Shawntez Patterson (201-90, college: Alabama St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 13 rebounds and guard Henrik Lange (192-95) scored 4 points and 9 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Defending champion maintains tenth position with 1-9 record. Loser Tromso keeps the fifth place with six games lost. They share the position with Baerum Basket. Centrum will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Tromso will play against the league's leader Asker Aliens (#1) having rather not much hope for a victory.
