The game between third ranked Kauhajoki (7-4) and eleventh ranked Lapuan Korikobrat (3-7) was the most important one in the last round on Saturday night. Kauhajoki was edged by Lapuan Korikobrat in a tough game in Lapua 102-103. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Kauhajoki. American Maurice Creek (196-90, college: G.Washington) saved the victory by scoring 32 points and 6 rebounds. American-Italian guard Lucas Woodhouse (190-94, college: Stony Brook, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Bosnian guard Bojan Sarcevic (190-88) answered with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Stephen Maxwell (201-93, college: CS Northridge, agency: Two Points) added 17 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Kauhajoki. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Lapuan Korikobrat moved-up to ninth place. Kauhajoki at the other side keeps the third position with four games lost. They share it with Helsinki Seagulls. Lapuan Korikobrat will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Kauhajoki will play at home against KTP-Basket and is hoping to win this game.
