The game between closely ranked teams ended with 5th ranked R8 Krakow's (6-3) road loss to fourth ranked Polonia Leszno (8-1) 68-79 on Saturday. The former international Kamil Chanas (190-85) notched 27 points and 4 assists to lead the effort and guard Nikodem Sirijatowicz (188-94) supported him with 14 points. Even 18 points and 9 rebounds by naturalized American swingman Michael Hicks (193-83, college: Central Mo.) did not help to save the game for R8 Krakow. Patryk Pelka (202-89) added 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. Polonia Leszno have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Polfarmex Kutno. Newly promoted R8 Krakow keeps the fifth position with three games lost. Polonia Leszno will meet at home league's second-placed Sokol Lancut in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. R8 Krakow will play against Pruszkow and hope to secure a win.
