Not a big story in a game when 10th ranked Kotwica (4-6) lost to third ranked Polfarmex (8-1) in Kutno 84-100 on Saturday. Polfarmex dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Kotwica's 32 and made 16-of-20 free shots (80.0 percent) during the game. They outrebounded Kotwica 40-28 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Arkadiusz Kobus (196-86, agency: Promotex) notched 21 points and 7 rebounds to lead the effort and swingman Mateusz Zebski (190-92) supported him with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Polfarmex players scored in double figures. Polfarmex's coach Jaroslaw Krysiewicz used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Even 21 points and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) by point guard Pawel Dzierzak (188-95) did not help to save the game for Kotwica. Forward Pawel Pawlowski (196-82) added 17 points and 4 assists (made all of his eight free throws) for lost side. Polfarmex have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 8-1 record behind leader Spojnia, which they share with Polonia Leszno. Loser Kotwica dropped to the eleventh place with six games lost. Polfarmex will meet Biofarm PZN (#12) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kotwica will play against Nysa Klodzko and hope to secure a win.
